The potato is a staple of the weekly shopping basket of Irish consumers. Containing a variety of vitamins and minerals potatoes can be boiled, steamed, mashed, fried or baked. Along with growing our own potatoes, K&K Produce has dedicated growers throughout the country. We also import a variety of Cyprian, French and Italian potatoes to provide consumers with a quality, flavourful potato.

Rooster

Rooster is the most widely grown potato variety in Ireland and is available all year round. It has red skin with yellow flesh. The good skin finish and uniform shape with shallow eyes makes it easy to peel. The texture allows it to have a wide range of uses such as boiling, steaming, baking, roasting and chipping.

Ingredients

The Rooster is available all year round. The new crop is harvested in August and September.
